We are always grateful for financial support for the Show, without which we would have difficulty keeping the Show the full, traditional Agricultural Show, which we value.
Sponsorship is based on a firm, family or a person, covering the cost of the prize money and rosettes for a class, classes or section of choice, to whatever level of cost the donor wishes; the usual range is between £30 to £200.
We offer in exchange, excellent advertising opportunities within the rural and suburban community both in and around the Yorkshire area.
Letters of appeal are sent at the beginning of the year and following confirmation, Schedules are sent to sponsors with complimentary entry for the Show.
For sponsorship exceeding £80, we do offer a complimentary pass for passengers and car parking on the Showfield plus a free full page advertisement in the Show Programme.
For sponsorship in excess of £50, a complimentary pass for passengers and car parking on the Showfield, a free half page advertisement.
For sponsorship of £30 or more, two complimentary pedestrian admission tickets to the Show, and a free quarter page advertisement.
For only an extra £10 why not have your website linked to ours on the Download page.
For patronage of £20, a complimentary pedestrian admission ticket is issued.
All sponsors and patrons may enjoy light refreshments in the Vice President’s hospitality marquee and have line entries in the Schedule and the Programme acknowledging their generosity, plus being mentioned over the PA system on the day of the Show.
For inclusion in the Schedule, confirmation of sponsorship is required before 1st April, please, and an A4 or A5 copy of a current advertising bromide would be required before 1st June, for inclusion in the Programme.
Some prefer to donate a trophy for a class, which would be much appreciated, though it has been suggested that for a donation of £50 a keep sake trophy bearing the appropriate inscription would be given to a class winner for the next ten shows. This would alleviate the problem we sometimes have with the return of perpetual trophies in time for presentation at the Show.
A copy of the current Schedule is available on our website for your perusal. If you would like to sponsor a class, or provide a trophy, please contact us or copy the Sponsorship detail form available on our Downloads page.
